The creamed coconut, sometimes called coconut butter (in some countries), is a coconut product made from the unsweetened, dehydrated fresh desiccated coconut of a mature coconut ground to a semi-solid white creamy paste. It looks like a concentrated block that melts on heating. In other words, It solidifies at average room temperature.

If not, you live in a hot country (or have a warm kitchen), you’ll have to melt it before taking it to use. Chop it up to make it easier to melt. Simply dissolve creamed coconut in hot water and use as you would coconut milk.
